Region offers Holy Spirit crown to a parish in Florianopolis
The region offered yesterday a Holy Spirit crown to the Parish of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus of Florianopolis, the only of the 14 parishes that celebrate the Holy Spirit that didn’t have its own crown.
The delivery was made by the Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Rural Development, António Ventura, at the end of the official visit to the states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, in representation of the President of the Government of the Azores, José Manuel Bolieiro.
Before dozens of believers, António Ventura reminded the bonds that unite the people of the Azores and the Azorean descendants in Brazil through the worship of the Holy Spirit.
In Florianopolis, Ventura marked the 275 years of the Azorean settlement of the region and valued the editorial project of the media group ND, that, in the following months, will present several contents related to the culture and traditions of the Azores.
