{"id":4615,"date":"2023-11-29T15:27:16","date_gmt":"2023-11-29T15:27:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portaldaacorianidade.azores.gov.pt\/?p=4615"},"modified":"2024-04-22T11:10:04","modified_gmt":"2024-04-22T11:10:04","slug":"4th-azores-brazil-meeting-takes-place-on-december-3-in-florianopolis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/portaldaacorianidade.azores.gov.pt\/en\/4th-azores-brazil-meeting-takes-place-on-december-3-in-florianopolis\/","title":{"rendered":"4th Azores Brazil Meeting takes place on December 3 in Florian\u00f3polis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Presidency of the Regional Government of the Azores, through the Regional Directorate for the Communities, is promoting the 4th Azores Brazil Meeting on December 3 in Florian\u00f3polis, the capital of the state of Santa Catarina.<\/p>\n<p>The event will bring together the presidents of the Houses of the Azores and the Azorean diaspora advisers who represent the Azoreans and Azorean descendants in the various Brazilian states.<\/p>\n<p>The Regional Director for the Communities, Jos\u00e9 Andrade, will chair the 4th Azores Brazil Meeting, representing the President of the Regional Government. The event will be attended by the leaders of the Houses of the Azores of Santa Catarina (S\u00e9rgio Luiz Ferreira), S\u00e3o Paulo (Ant\u00f3nio Arruda), Rio Grande do Sul (Viviane Peixoto Hunter), Rio de Janeiro (Leonardo Soares), Maranh\u00e3o (Raphael Guar\u00e1) and Maranh\u00e3o (S\u00e9rgio Luiz Ferreira) and Esp\u00edrito Santo (Nino Ser\u00f3dio).<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will also include speeches by the Azorean diaspora advisers elected by the states of Rio de Janeiro (Daniel Gon\u00e7alves), S\u00e3o Paulo (Jos\u00e9 Lu\u00eds Jacob), Santa Catarina (Willian Agostinho Marques), Rio Grande do Sul (R\u00e9gis Marques Gomes) and other states of Brazil (Aristides B\u00f3gea Bittencourt).<\/p>\n<p>The 1st Azores Brazil Meeting took place in October 2021 at the Concei\u00e7\u00e3o Palace in Ponta Delgada with the participation of the presidents of the Houses of the Azores of Rio de Janeiro, S\u00e3o Paulo, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul and Maranh\u00e3o, in addition to the Association of Azorean Emigrants and the CRESA\u00c7OR Migrant Support Office.<\/p>\n<p>The 2nd Meeting took place in March 2022 at the Pal\u00e1cio dos Capit\u00e3es-Generais, in Angra do Hero\u00edsmo and was attended by the Azorean diaspora advisers elected by Brazil.
