We have promoted Portuguese courses, multilingual training and initiatives among schools, for example, to foster tolerance, the respect for diversity and hospitality, which is so typical of our identity,&#8221; emphasised Jos\u00e9 Manuel Bolieiro.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The suggestions of the consular corps were heard by the President of the Government, who encouraged the appointment of an honorary consul for Brazil, the community with the largest number of citizens in the Azores.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The meeting brought together representatives of the consular corps accredited in the Region to exchange views on the current situation and future prospects of the different foreign communities residing on the nine islands of the Azores.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The consular corps in the Azores is currently composed of the consul of the United States of America, Margaret C.
