Other Information: I am a life-long resident of Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, a city with a significant and predominantly Azorean Portuguese community. Growing up in Cambridge many of my friends and peers were children of Azorean immigrants. I recently completed a PhD in History, and have researched and presented papers on the Azorean community in Cambridge at several venues in Canada, and also at a conference at the University of Lisbon in October 2008. I am interested in continuing my research about the Azorean community in Cambridge, and hope to bring more attention to this significant community.
